Tenth Island is a small island of bare rock lying off of Tasmania's northeast coast, and home to a significant population of Australian Fur Seals (Arctocephalus pusillus).
Let's jump in the water with them and see what happens.
I would have to say that diving here at 10th Island seal colony was probably the best (most enjoyable) diving I've ever done. I think what ultimately put this place a notch above all the others for me was the interaction; the engagement rather than typical observation that you generally get during a dive. I often feel like I'm looking through a window into a world that could care less about my existence, but the seals' genuine reciprocated curiosity and fun loving nature made for a really enjoyable and memorable experience. - Mark Polinski
