Janine has been a caver, diver, bushwalker and bad cross country skier for several decades. Caving, and diving, have been the major focus of her leisure activities for most of her adult life. She initially moved to Tasmania from the mainland of Australia for the caving, and other outdoor pursuits, and she has lived there now for 34 years. She has continued these activities in Tasmania, and around the world, throughout that time, with a several year break to go sailing. Now retired from professional work, she continues to cave, cave dive, bushwalk and open water dive with enthusiasm, and the release from time constraints that retirement from paid work brings.
