A Graphical Introduction to Tasmania’s Saltmarsh Lifeforms and Processes

The tidal saltmarsh wetlands are fragile, important, and underappreciated. It’s hard to visit them on foot in the same way that you’d visit a solid mountain trail, but if you do travel into these dynamic ecosystems, there’s much to learn and see. There’s been a concerted effort by Vishnu Prahalad at the University of Tasmania to help a wider audience connect with these wetlands, and their poster Tidal Treasures of the Tamar is a great starting point. We’ve zoomed in on their good work to create this graphical resource, and you can chime in to NRM North to learn more.
